Shanichari Amavasya – Prernamurti Bharti Shriji

Shani Amavasya in year 2016 is on June 04. Shani is a Hindi word for the name of Saturn. In Hindu culture, Amavasya Day is not considered auspicious for initiating any good or important work or performing any sacred pooja function. However, this particular ‘Shani Amavasya’ is the only day that is regarded auspicious for performing any custom, rituals of fair traditions; except the other ones. This sacred day often comes one, two or very few times in a year. In both, Vedic Astrology and Hindu Mythology, planet Saturn is one the very powerful celestial body in Universe. For Hindu people, Saturn is Lord Shani who is depicted with black complexion. In many places of India, it can be noticed that people donate mustard oil to please Lord Shani. The person under influence of Shani Dasha or Saturn period must worship Lord Shani especially during Shani Amavasya. It is acknowledged that worshiping Lord Shani during Saturdays or on the day of Shani Amavasya help natives to reduce evil effects of planet Saturn. Saturn is very powerful and influencing planet. It can be both ‘malefic’ and ‘benefic’. If this planet is benefic then the native will definitely receive abundant prosperity and fortune in life. Many difficult tasks automatically be accomplished by the grace of Lord Shani. But, if this planet is not favourable in one’s horoscope, the native will certainly experience delays, difficulties, and types of different problems. Such person should not avoid worshipping Lord Shani on Saturday or especially on the day of Shani Amavasya. Remedies for Saturn can also be applied to reduce malefic effect of this planet.

What is Shani Amavasya?

It has already been mentioned above that ‘shani amavasya’ is a sacred day that comes when new- moon day is noticed particularly on Saturday. It is the only day that is considered favorable for bringing fortune and prosperity. However, Amavasya of all months are only considered for Shradh pooja or trapan to offer to dead ancestors and forefathers. But, Shani Amavasya is considered very favorable to perform sharadh pooja for forefathers. People who are facing obstacles or many difficulties in life and are not finding proper remedies can follow rituals and customs to delight Lord Shani on the day of Shani Amavasya. Therefore, Shani Amavasya 2016 is an auspicious day for Shradh 2016.

What can be done on Shani Amavasya?

However Shani Amavasya is said to be a propitious day for Hindu devotees, especially to perform ‘shradh’ or ‘trapan’ to dead ancestors, this day is also not auspicious to begin other auspicious work like expansion of new venture of business and so on. But it is sure that worshiping Lord Shani on this day certainly bestows the devotee immense blessings of this deity.

WHO’s slogan for this year’s World No Tobacco Day is “Get ready for plain packaging” and in a statement released Tuesday, it said: “Plain packaging is an important demand reduction measure that reduces the attractiveness of tobacco products, restricts use of tobacco packaging as a form of tobacco advertising and promotion, limits misleading packaging and labelling, and increases the effectiveness of health warnings. Plain packaging of tobacco products refers to measures that restrict or prohibit the use of logos, colours, brand images or promotional information on packaging other than brand names and product names displayed in a standard colour and font style.”

According to WHO, about 6 million people die every year from tobacco-related illnesses. About 5 million die from direct tobacco use, and more than 600,000 deaths are caused by second-hand smoke.

Masik Shivaratri (Monthly Shivaratri) – Prernamurti Bharti Shriji

Why is Shivaratri Celebrated?

Each Hindu festival is associated with many beliefs and mythologies, so is the holy day of Shivaratri. One belief says that Shivaratri is celebrated to commemorate the day when Lord Shiva consumed the deadly poison, which came out during Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) Whereas, according to another belief, it is the day when Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married.

Let’s know the legend of Samudra Manthan in detail.
The legend of Samudra Manthan is the reason as to why Shivaratri is celebrated. It is said that once the devas (Gods) and asuras (devils) were churning the ocean of milk. During the churning process, several things came out of the ocean. Among all those things were a pot of poison. The poison had the potential to destroy the universe, which frightened the devas (Gods) and asuras (devils). To seek help, they ran to Lord Shiva, the Lord of destruction. Lord Shiva, in order to save the universe from the deadly effect of poison, swallowed it
but held it in His throat. This act resulted in Lord Shiva’s throat turning blue, for which he earned the name ‘Nilkantha’. To celebrate this event of Lord Shiva, Shivaratri is celebrated.

Masik Shivaratri Significance For Women

Throughout the country, the occasion of Shivaratri holds prime importance for the married women as well as young girls. On this day, women observe fast and worship Lord Shiva for the welfare of their husband and sons. Unmarried girls on the other hand observe fast and pray to Lord Shiva for a right match.

Prernamurti Bharti Shriji inspires us to have deep abiding faith in God and his Messengers to humanity. Implementing their teachings with faith will speed our progress in the spiritual life.

Faith In God

Have deep abiding faith in God and  his Messengers to humanity. Develop faith and trust in the teaching and lives of the Avataras, the Divine Incarnations. They sacrificed their lives for our welfare only. We must divert our confidence in mundane things and place our confidence in the wisdom of the Messengers of God. Implementing their teachings with faith will speed our progress in the spiritual life.

According to the Vedas, ultimate reality is all-pervading, uncreated, self-luminous, eternal spirit, the final cause of the universe, the power behind all tangible forces, the consciousness which animates all conscious beings. This is the central philosophy of the Hindu, and his religion consists of meditation on this spirit and prayer for the guidance of his intellect along the path of virtue and righteousness.

Morality, ethics and purity come only from God. These divine qualities need to be cultivated to a certain degree prior to the qualification and inner training that brings about a true awakening to the spiritual life. Deep and abiding faith in God, genuine spiritual hunger, moral living, earnest prayer, absolute dependence on God and a humble attitude remove many alleged problems confronting humanity. Real peace, security and enlightenment can be experienced only after embarking upon and leading a moral life. First comes awareness of the stupendous necessity for a spiritual life, followed by adherence to specific, spiritual guidelines. Only then may we enjoy blissful peace and security while living in the world.

The highest form of desire is when it is transformed into a spiritual form of the universal consciousness–Prernamurti Bharti Shriji

Desire for God

The highest form of desire is when it is transformed into a spiritual form of the universalised consciousness. This is seen in saints and sages of all countries who do not make a distinction between God and the World. Their enjoyments and their sufferings are not theirs, they are of the universe, they have a universal body, for all that they see is the illustration of God. They eat and rejoice and seem to have the normal enjoyments of a human being, but their minds are lifted above the realm of personality and the mire of the earthward pull. These are the great saviours, the incarnations, the Spiritual masters and the guides of humanity in its spiritual quest.

Such personalities look like any one else outwardly – they have a body, they have their personal and social lives, they are sometimes householders with large families, they play and talk and laugh and eat and drink and bathe. Yes; but their minds are differently constituted. But they have all equal knowledge and the power to create, destroy or transform things at their will(Kartum akartum anyatha va kartum saktah).

In the personality of Sri Krishna we have a marvellous blend and synthesis of the inscrutable ways in which the divine superman lives and moves in this world. Their lives, their speech, behaviour and action are all super-rational mysteries, and here they are free from the connotation which is applied to the term ‘desire’ in normal life, for here desire is inseparable from universal existence. It has ceased to be an externalising tendency and is once and for all consumed in the blaze of the light of the Absolute.

There are Sadhakas, who have been affected by this ‘infirmity’ of Spirit, and cannot again be brought round to view life in a different way. The logic of the heart is more weighty than that of the intellect. And no force under the sun can have the courage to face its penetrating influence. Such is the nature of what the spiritual aspirant sees with an eye that is peculiar to him, an eye which animates from within the eyes with which he sees the world outside.

Rarely does a person get inspired up by a spiritual aspiration. We studiedly use the term inspired because it is often in this manner that the spiritual ideal seems to beckon the human mind. It does not come with long discussions and premeditations, correspondence and notice. It wells up within, one does not know how and when. And when this happens one’s perspective of things suddenly changes, and there is altogether a different psychological world created before one’s eyes. No persuasion or argumentation will succeed in diverting a person away from this changed view of things, once this inspiration catches him. It is indeed a blazing, all-consuming power, and nothing on earth can have the strength to resist it.Hence one should always

Prernamurti Shriji quotes saying that “God is One, but when that One Infinite Spirit differentiates Itself into many, It has many forms and many names”

God is One

God is One, but when that One Infinite Spirit differentiates Itself into many, It has many forms and many names. But Spirit—the great One Reality—cannot be named. When mental restlessness is stilled and the consciousness is interiorized, in touch with the soul, the God-revealing intuitive faculty is awakened.

Don’t try to know God first; love God first. Then He will tell you everything. God, in relation to the soul, presumes a duality—the Object to be perceived, God; and the perceiver or experiencer, the soul. The spiritually awakening man seeks some familiarity, some tangibility, in his relationship with his Creator. He begins by personalizing God’s Presence.

In the Bhagavad Gita, the Lord promises: “In whatever way people are devoted to Me, in that measure I manifest Myself to them. All men, in every manner (of seeking Me), pursue a path to Me” (The Gita IV:11).

Any personalized communion with God or worship of a conceptualized aspect or attribute of Divinity maintains the duality of worshiper and Worshiped, the ecstatic relationship sometimes preferred by saints. But the even higher state referred to by Scriptures, beyond dualistic devotion, is Oneness with the Object of worship, and specifically, the ultimate union: oneness of the soul with Spirit. God as Spirit, the Absolute, beyond form, qualities, manifestations, cannot be perceived, but only experienced by the supreme realization of Spirit and soul union. This ecstasy, a supernal Bliss that no human tongue can tell or rational thought conceive, is described simply by India’s rishis: “He who knows, he knows; naught else knows.”

It is only by worshiping God and His presence in Nature, and then by worshiping God as unmanifested Spirit, by Spirit-and-soul union, that the devotee reaches the final state of emancipation, from which there is no fall.

Learn to see God in all persons, of whatever race or creed. You will know what divine love is when you begin to see your oneness with every human being, not before.

Obedience to Guru-Prernamurti Bharti Shriji

Prernatirth Yatra- The inspirational Journey of life

Prernamurti Bharti Shriji – Obedience to Guru she is an inspirational to all for attaining Guru-Bhakti and Seva that takes you across the torrential stream of Samsara …

Obedience to Guru

Even though you have lost everything in your life, every thing from you  is stolen than too you are the richest because you have ‘Sadguru’.  You have the Sadguru and Obedience to guru is your virtue than your future is brightened and glorious, you are not the looser , But the W INNER.

Guru-Bhakti and Guru-Seva terminate (if it can at all be called a termination) in Self-realisation. You will have to go on serving the Guru. The Guru will reveal the Truth to you when your self-surrender is complete, when the time is ripe. But that is not your concern. Even as Arjuna prayed for the Visvarupa-Darshana and waited for the Lord to bestow the Divya-Chakshu on him, you will have to serve, serve, and serve, and the Guru will bestow the Knowledge on you when you are ripe for It. Some deluded aspirants serve their Guru for some years and then give it up foolishly imagining that they have attained Chitta-Shuddhi. They do not gain the Supreme Knowledge; they do not reach their Goal. They, no doubt, gain some merit (Punya), but Self-realisation is not attained: this is indeed a great loss, a great blunder.

Guru-Bhakti and Seva  takes you Across the torrential stream of Samsara

Guru-Bhakti and Guru-Seva are like the two oars to the boat of Sadhana that takes you across the torrential stream of Samsara. You cannot do without them until you reach the other shore, until you attain Immortality and Eternal Bliss, until you become a Jivanmukta. Then Guru-Bhakti itself manifests in you as Self-realisation; and Guru-Seva becomes Lokasangraha in which you automatically engage yourself.

One who has such a Guru-Bhakti, one who has totally surrendered himself to the Guru, one who serves the Guru wholeheartedly, knows no grief, no sorrow, no fear, no pain, no misery, no ignorance and he instantly attains Godrealisation: for, Guru and God are one. He attains instantaneous Knowledge and Self-Illumination. Therefore have the Upanishads also declared: “Yasya deve para bhaktiryathaa deve tathaa gurau; Tasyaite kathitaahyarthaah prakaashante mahaatmanah.” “One who has Supreme Devotion to God and equal devotion to his Guru, to such a great Mahatma will the truths of the Upanishads be clear as crystal.”

May you all shine as the embodiments of Guru-Bhakti! May you all roam about freely as Jivanmuktas in this very birth! May God bless you all with health, long life, peace prosperity and Kaivalya Moksha!

Significance Of Satsang–Prernamurti Bharti Shriji

141114124652-heroes-background-full-169The Guru is the bestower of silence who reveals the light of Self-knowledge that shines as the residual reality. Spoken words are of no use whatsoever if the eyes of the Guru meet the eyes of the disciple.(sc)

The flow of power from the Guru can be received by anyone whose attention is focused on the Self or on the form of the Guru; distance is no impediment to its efficacy. This attention is often called Sat-sanga, which literally means ‘association with self’.Sat means truth and Sang means to be with or associated with. Satsang is therefore association with truth itself. It can be practiced either by remaining in the company of a truthful or pure being such as Guru also in the company of people who are devoted to God. Association with a spiritual person is also a form of satsang only. Thinking of God or divine thoughts, reading spiritually inspiring books, visiting a temple or place of pilgrimage are other forms of satsang. Some people are fortunate enough to be born in a family of highly spiritual beings. For them life will be a continuous satsang. Others have to find either spiritual people or some other means to practice satsang. On a much deeper level, satsang means to be with or remain associated with the inner quality of sattva or purity. Sattva is one of the triple qualities of Prakriti (nature), the other two being rajas and tamas.(sc)

The quality of sattva manifests in human beings as knowledge, peacefulness, contemplativeness and thoughtfulness. People in whom this quality is predominant possess superior wisdom and knowledge and are usually drawn into devotional and spiritual way of living. Their thoughts revolve around God and they seek to liberate themselves from the bonds of ignorance and the cycle of births and deaths by surrendering themselves to God and leading divine centered lives. A sattvic person is a natural satsangi.(sc)

The company of Guru is always a satsang or in association with the good and the pure. The purpose of a satsang is to develop the quality of sattva through spiritual association with sattvic people. The quality of rajas drives people into restless activity. Rajasic people are driven by an intense desire to prove themselves to others. They are selfcentered in contrast to the sattvic people who are divine centered. Driven by passions, emotions, egoism and pride, they consider themselves as the doers and attribute their successes and failures to themselves or to their innate abilities and talents. Their belief in God is influenced by their personal goals and inner needs. Their relationship with others and even with God is conditional. If they are disappointed or suffer some set back, they would not hesitate to condemn God or question His very existence.(sc)

Tamasic people are usually disinterested in God and seldom drawn into active and disciplined life. Because they are insensitive to others and to their own inner feelings, they often indulge in cruel and criminal behavior causing pain and suffering to others. They are also drawn to intoxicating substances and food that causes lethargy. Even if they believe in God, they usually resort to secret cults and unusual methods of selftorture and selfdestruction to achieve selfrealization. Tamasic people are usually negative and pessimistic. They drain away other people’s energy by raising objections or discouraging them from taking any action. They always have an excuse for not doing things or doing things in a negative way.(sc)

By joining a satsang one can improve the quality of sattva and suppress rajas and tamas. As the mind is drawn more and more into divine centered thinking through association with like minded people, the quality of sattva increases. People who participate in them regularly become more reflective and intuitive. Their minds come to rest and their senses become quieter. Their egos yield place to the working of the purifying and cleansing energy and the awakening of the dormant energies. Satsang can definitely help people in stabilizing their minds in divine thoughts and developing the quality of sattva that is so important for transforming the lower self. Satsang is therefore spiritual friendship or association. In the modern world, in the midst of many distractions and allurements, people can practice it in many ways, not just through the traditional methods of meetings alone. It can be practiced even when one is physically alone by staying focused on the thoughts of God and the path of liberation.(sc)

One should wholeheartedly encouraged this practice and frequently said that it is the most efficient way of bringing about a direct experience of the Self. Traditionally it involves being in the physical presence of one who has realised the Self. The most important element in Sat-sang was the mental connection with the Guru; Sat-sang takes place not only in his presence but whenever and wherever one thinks of him.(sc)
