TheUniversalPrincipleOf Karmas(Deeds)

There was a king named Chitraketu. He had one crore queens. But look at the destiny ! Even after having one crore queens, he was childless. One crore queens,  no child!

It is said that, one gets three things in life only by destiny i.e. Wealth, Son and Good Health. One gets these three things only by God’s grace and one’s good deeds of previous birth. Wealth,  Children and Health…..right! It is believed that one, who has all these three is the happiest man on the earth. Do you think so….? Even if we call such a person as the happiest man, but still God has made a rule that no person on earth gets all these three things  altogether. If one has wealth, he may not have son or health. If one has son and health he may be lacking in wealth. You can verify this fact from anybody in this world. If you find a man who is Wealthy and has a very good son, this is for sure that he must not be keeping  good health. If he is a healthy person, he would be lacking in wealth.

No one on the earth, has been blessed with these three things  altogether.  So , no need to worry… Even Lord Rama did not get these. When Lord Rama was about to get the kingdom, what happened ? He got exile. When he got the kingdom, his wife (Maa Sita) was not with him.  When wife was with him, he had no kingdom. So, if this rule applies even to Lord Rama, then it is not a big deal, if we too have to face such a rule. In a way, it’s good to face such hurdles in life, that’s when we will start valuing  God.

So, no one has got all these three things in life altogether.  This is all due to our deeds done by us in previous births. We have  to pay for our deeds and we must pay.

Once, a rishi(sage), named Angira visited the kingdom of Chitraketu. The king welcomed the Sage and served him from the core of his heart. The sage was pleased with him  and asked him to wish for any boon. The king said “I am childless, have no son. If you bless me with a son, I will be very greatful”.   The sage said “since you have pleased me with your services(sewa), I will have to bless you with a son. You will get a son but that son will be the cause of your happiness and as well as sorrows and distress. A son was born. The lamps were lit all over the kingdom.  Sweets were distributed  and there were celebrations all over. King Chitraketu was so delighted, his love for that wife multiplied many times who gave birth to that son. She snatched love and affection of the king from all wives. Women are women after all! There was jealousy, anger and disliking amongst all those, who were left ignored by the king. The evil thought came into their minds, why not to finish that reason which snatched our husband from us. That’s the son ! The step mothers  got jealous.  They gave poison to the son. As a result , the son died.

The element of ‘Jealousy’ makes a person blind and provokes him to do such deeds which, sometimes  even he himself doesn’t know, what is he doing. He may destroy others’  lives. But , one must be very careful with his deeds beforehand as, even if nobody knows or sees your deeds but there is One who has always been watching you constantly. Not even a single deed of yours is unseen by HIM.  HE is the witness of all our deeds.

Our deeds whether good or bad, never leave us. We can’t get rid off them in any case. Like, a calf can find its mother cow  in the crowd of 5000 cows, even if you take the calf away from its mother for 2-3 days, it will find her, he never gets confused about his mother. Similarly, our deeds never get confused and follow us and can identify us in the crowd of even crore of population.
